De Karsp! / Residential High-Rise
Amsterdam

More information

De Karsp! is situated on the Karspeldreef in the Bullewijk neighbourhood, an area filled with businesses and offices. Over the coming years, this current mono-functional area will transform into a multifunctional lively neighbourhood with residences, shops, cafés, day-cares and sports facilities.

De Karsp! is one of the first residential buildings, pioneering in the area. The two residential towers, formed by 274 rental apartments, connect to their surroundings through a high plinth with commercial program and parking facilities. A pocket park is created next the buildings on the Bullewijkpad.

The towers have a clear residential feel that contributes to the varied image of Bullewijk. The façades edge back on top to introduce a smaller scale and articulation in the buildings. The towers are connected at ground level and the green natural roof above is used to buffer water.
